More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

To describe my past experience with an infant, I had a family that needed help with their infant and toddler. I was willing to help them with or without a pay. On my first day I connected with the children, seeing what is needed for them. I helped around the house with any chores that needed to be done. I paid attention for any body language that seemed out of the ordinary so that i’m able to do something. I engage with them by playing learning games with them, read books, counting numbers, saying the alphabet with them, teaching them how to properly pronounce words, and teaching them to communicate to each other or people. I also did outside activities with them including swimming, playing at the playground, riding scooters/bikes, etc. I made sure to always keep the parents updated and have a good communication with them.

I enjoy doing indoor and outdoor activities with children not just for them to have fun but to let them know they are loved and cared for in my supervision!

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I cared for a baby with autism and didn’t know she had it. I wasn’t told she needed more assistance nor autism by the parents. I was struggling on what to do in that situation, until I watched her body language and felt she needed help with her emotions. I learned to understand her and help in the areas that I misunderstood the first time.
