Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used work at Field of Dreams as a lead Teacher. Field of Dreams follow a Reggio Amelia curriculum where children learn through invitation to play. I been working here from March 2024 to April 2025.
Previously I worked at Greater Burlington YMCA (GBYMCA) as a floating preschool teacher. I stepped in for other lead teachers who needed to take time to go plan lessons and activities for their students.
For two years before that I worked as a paraeducator in a middle school for 6th and 7th graders and students in the fifth grade in another school. Doing that I was academically supporting other students who were on IEPs and 504 plans. Occasionally I would substitute for classroom teachers who were out or left early.
Prior to working professionally with children I was taking care of my little sisters who were 6 months and 2 years old at the time until they were 9 and 7 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite indoor activities to do with children is listen and dance to music, read with them, arts and crafts such as coloring, painting, etc., and play indoor games like hide and seek, board games, card games, etc.
My favorite outdoor activities include swimming, riding bikes, playing games like tag and hide and seek, going on a picnic, nature walks, going to the park, and playing in the dirt.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny for me would have to be building a relationship with the child I am caring for and the parents. Creating lasting moments the child will carry with them for the rest of their lives and being a huge role model for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with special needs children because I was a paraeducator for two years where I worked with students on IEPs and 504 plans. We also will occasionally have students come into my current classroom that have special needs.
