More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have one year of experience working at a daycare, caring for children aged 0-5 years. My responsibilities included supervising daily activities, planning age-appropriate learning experiences, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to my daycare experience, I also babysit my nephew. I help him with homework, engage in outdoor play, prepare meals, and ensure he stays on track with his daily routine. This combination of professional experience and personal caregiving has strengthened my ability to connect with children of various ages and provide them with the care and support they need.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy a variety of activities that support children’s development in multiple ways. With infants, I focus on sensory play, such as exploring different textures, sounds, and colors, which helps with their cognitive and sensory development. For toddlers and preschoolers, I love doing arts and crafts to encourage creativity, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Outdoor play, like walks or simple games, promotes physical development and social skills.
For early learning, I enjoy reading stories and making it interactive, which helps with language development and imagination. With older children, I incorporate simple baking or cooking activities to teach counting, measuring, and following directions, boosting cognitive and math skills. I also engage in educational games that promote problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking, all while ensuring the activities are fun and age-appropriate.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. It’s not just about caring for them physically, but also supporting their emotional, social, and intellectual development. I believe in building strong relationships with both children and parents, communicating openly and consistently to ensure we are aligned in expectations and needs. Patience, creativity, and flexibility are essential in my role, and I always aim to make every day enjoyable and educational for the children in my care. I take pride in knowing that I can make a positive impact on a child’s growth and contribute to a family’s peace of mind.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don’t have formal training in special needs, I’ve worked with children of various needs in my daycare experience. I adapt activities and routines to meet each child’s unique needs, offering extra patience, support, and encouragement. I focus on creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Whether it’s providing individualized attention, helping with communication, or using creative activities to engage and calm, I ensure that each child thrives in a safe and nurturing space. I’m always open to learning new techniques to better support children with special needs and work closely with parents to maintain consistency in care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when I helped a child who was initially afraid of trying new foods. After working together for a few days, we turned mealtime into a fun activity, where we made a game out of trying new fruits and veggies. Watching their face light up with pride when they finally tried something new and liked it was such a rewarding experience. It reminded me how small milestones can have such a big impact on a child’s confidence and growth.
