A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Charis Bray! I am looking for full or part time nanny work in Brenham, TX. I have spent my whole life around children. In my younger tween/teenager years, I nannyed and babysat for several different families in my neighborhood. Then, when I was 17, I worked as a before-school leader at a public school (Black Elementary) in Cypress, TX. Later that same year, I began working at a private school (Covenant Academy) also in Cypress, TX. Throughout my two years at the private school, I have been a teacher, tutor, assistant teacher, P.E. teacher, and before-and-after-school leader. I love kids and helping them grow is something that I am passionate and know much about. Kids need so much love and attention, and I would love to help a sweet family with that. :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a babysitter all my growing-up years. In 2023, I worked in the before-school care at a public school. Then, from August 2023 to the present, I have been working at a private school. I will leave when this school year ends in May 2023. Throughout my two years here, I have been a teacher, tutor, assistant teacher, P.E. teacher, and before- and after-school leader. I am also currently volunteering on Sundays, working in a nursery teaching 1-3-year-olds.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking kids to parks and on walks! I think it is so important to have kids outside when they're young. They need that time to use their bodies in a different way than they can inside. I also enjoy doing indoor play with them. I like to encourage kids to think outside the box when they do indoor play. It's also important for them to develop the skills to be able to play by themselves. So I will also encourage independent play. Of course, all of this depends on the age of the child.
