Hello. I am from the Karuk tribe of California. I have been in early education for many years. Starting my own home based child care business for 8 years, moving into private schools and Montessori for a couple of years then into leadership roles as an education director and managing a large Indigenous Educare and Development center the last few years. I am excited to get back into hand on working with children as I’ve missed that part and is why I orgiavkky got into early education. I believe in hands on play based interaction of learning and that creating connection is essential to carding for children and supporting their social and emotional growth and development. I enjoy arts and crafts, creative play, reading books, and providing intentional engagement during interactions to allow for learning opportunities through conversations and exploration. I believe that creating a connection is vital to providing an environment a child feels safe and fully able to be their authentic self. I encourage expressing feelings, support co and self regulation, playfulness, and building social and emotional skills.. creating learning experiences through fun and independence through choices and allowing to make decisions that are safe and within boundaries the parents seek to provide. I believe in safety first, connection as essential and fun as a must!

My experience with special needs children...

I have been blessed to work with children of diverse abilities for many years. My focus with every child is to learn who they are and what works for them. I seek to meet every child where they are and help them grow from and flourish from there.

When we are sharing a moment reading, sitting in a bench swing singing songs, and those moment we connect on things we find so funny and the giggles are just flowing.
