Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a strong supporter of the arts and using creative play as a vehicle to learn. On a rainy day, I like to do crafts, music, and read books or even write our own stories.
I sometimes will bring my instruments, which is always fun because most children have never seen a washboard, banjo, or pan flute...many adults haven't either!
I also believe in early exposure to classic literature. I am trained as a Shakespearean using my acting skills to introduce children to classic tales such as Aesop's Fables, Greek mythology, and Peter Pan (the greatest story ever told!!!!)
If it's a good day to go outside, I enjoy spending time in nature! I love exploring parks such as Allaire State Park in Wall or Cattus Island Park in Toms River. I also enjoy going to the zoo or aquarium and learning about animals!

The most important part about being a nanny...
is making sure the kids know you truly care. A friend of a child I babysit told him that his mom pays me to be his friend. I told him, "No. Your mom pays me to keep you safe and out of trouble. I'm your friend because you're awesome."
My experience with special needs children...
I babysit an 8 year old boy with autism and a 13 year old boy with Angelman Syndrome. They are both absolutely fantastic kids!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many favorite moments to choose from, but here's one funny moment: We were learning about different occupations, and a child asked me what my job was...I didn't have the heart to tell her! So, so cute!
