A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Chase! I have worked with kids for many years, from children's librarian to preschool teacher to private nanny. One of my favorite things in the world is watching young people learn and grow. I understand that it can sometimes be hard to leave your child in someone else's care, especially if this is your first time being a parent, so I make it a priority to take plenty of photos and keep you updated at all times about what we're up to, what activities we're engaged in, and what milestones your child is approaching so you can be there for those most special moments. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Children's librarian aide with the Free Library of Philadelphia, three years working with infants and young toddlers followed by two years leading a school's toddler program, nearly four years as private nanny.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Visiting libraries and museums, science and art activities at home (including incorporating early STEM concepts via art), finding and attending music activities and playgroups, going to local parks and playgrounds, and many more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure the child isn't feeling any less love just because their parents have to be working. I make sure every child feels deeply loved and cared for while I'm with them, as well as respected for who they are from birth onward.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with autistic children and those requiring OT/PT/SLP intervention while in my classroom. While I don't have direct experience with medically complex children, I do have familiarity with many of the things involved in such care and am a quick learner.

The most important part about being a nanny...

So many wonderful moments, but I really enjoyed the time I realized my nanny kiddo was fascinated by coins and brought her to the US Mint in Old City. She was so happy to see the coins being made and it really sparked a long time interest. After that she became interested in the presidents featured on the coins so we began visiting the Constitution Center as well. Not many three year olds out there who ask to visit the Signers' Hall, but we love it! Watching her learning and interests deepen was so rewarding for me.
