Hi my name is Sherry are you ready we've been foster care families since I was a little girl I used to help my aunt and my grandma with the foster children from newborn up until like 10 11 12 years of age I have two boys in my own that are now 18 and 22 in my household everybody came to my home to play my kids were not to run the roads they were not to go anybody else's house so I had anywhere from 15 to 20 kids at my house at all times with my kids growing up and all age groups I have a I have a autistic nephew who is now 15 years old that I had helped my sister raise for a good 12 years of his life on my youngest one was severe colicky for 6 months spent two months at Texas children's hospital downtown kept having recurrences I talked both my boys how to swim at 3 months and I had both of my boys walking at 6:00 and 7 months of age walking letting go walking

My children are now 23 and 19 years of age my 23 year old toke on taking care of my mother right out of high school and works a grave yard job he is my mothers home health care nurse and my 19 year old is working for a man with terminal cancer with his yard and projects he he would like done with the man being so I'll he is very slow and tire easy so my son does a lot of helping him for everything he been doing this for a year in a half he does not work because this man has no one no family so my son wants to be there every day he said he does not need to die alone and not be found foe a long time he is God's child like us and iam the angel to be there for him so how can I push him on that heart of his and I was the house every child came to Mt children never left home because all there friends was always at my house never one day did I not have a child at my house if not 15 20 of them and every parent new where there kid was every day

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to do all kinds of activities with the kids and it depends on the wether and the time of day it is anything messy out side early so it not to hot and anything that has to do with stores I like to get them to do there customs and act out there storys and then explain how the story made worked out like what was story about man parts of there story and everything like that to keep them in to there emagantions a little longer before the elctrionics tske them in to a deffrent world

My experience with special needs children...

I had a autistic nephew that is now 16 and I had him from New born up to when he was 8 years old because I babysitt him and I am aunt so with him living 4 houses down he was with me all the time I had him tested and put in school at 3 years old and had made his talk like if he was wanting a drink we would tell him you have to say drink and not the grunting sound and pointing at it you have to tell us it as hard but you can not stop him from telling you his day he had and his story's wow I did that
