A little bit about me

Hi!! I'm so excited to be considered as your nanny! For the past year I have been working in behavioral health with children ages 5-17. I most recently worked in a residential mental health crisis program for teenagers. Before that, I worked in a public elementary school as a behavioral interventionist. I am comfortable working with children ages 5+. In that role I regularly helped students ages 7-11 with schoolwork. I was a swim instructor and lifeguard for 6 years, so I can help with teaching kids to swim as well! I also speak French at an intermediate level. Having dance parties, playing sports, coloring, cooking, and playing pretend are my favorite things to do with kids! I have taught children how to swim, mindfulness, effective communication, basic math, reading, and coping skills for anger, anxiety, and depression. I have also helped children cope with bullying and make and keep friends. I also speak French on an intermediate level.

Making sure the kids stay safe and have fun! I am not afraid to say no if something is not safe and/or age appropriate, and I can hold that boundary. It is also important to me that I respect the rules of your home and how you would like to raise your children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked mainly with children ages 5-17 who experience anger issues and/or anxiety. I have worked with children who have oppositional defiance disorder (ODD) and ADHD as well. I have been working with highly traumatized children for over a year.
