Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I use to be a bike instructor and taught kids from ages 4-12 how to gain control of their bike and get them off their training wheels. In addition I also taught my kids road signs and hand signals when it came to doing something we called offsite rides. This meant that two instructors take two classes worth of kids outside of the camp site and ride around a park near by avoiding the shared road. While participating in offsite rides we practiced hand signals and count offs while riding to take attendance. I taught a class of six kids and managed to teach every kid something new everyday. I also created bike obstacle courses that required each kid to face a new challenge.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to make competitive games with my kiddos to make things fun for them. For example racing seems to catch most kids attention or things like who is most likely to win me or the kids? Another activity I enjoy is simply going on walks and getting some vitamin D and a breath of fresh air with a little one by my side. Not only that but playing games the kids have made of their own is always a fun time! I also love letting kids feel like they’re in charge and deciding our activities for the day. Making games suit their interests is a favorite tactic of mine because it helps me connect with them that much more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Besides practicing safety and being a responsible, reliable individual I think it is important to make sure my kids are having a blast when it comes to spending time with me.
