A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Chloe Bousquet, I am a sophomore Nursing major at Linfield College. I have spent much of my free- time with children from a very young age, practically as soon as I was old enough to babysit. This came in many forms, I have been a peer tutor to mentally disabled children, interned at a pediatric nutritionist office, and of course, I have nannyed/ babysat for many families. Aside from work, I love practically anything that keeps me active, I have played sports all of my life, and really appreciate the outdoors. I also really enjoy cooking- especially desserts! I often find myself exploring new recipes during my free time. I am from Oregon, but looking to travel for working during my summer! I have a drivers license, and am certified in CPR as well as the Heimlich.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my opinion, the most important thing about being a nanny (aside from keeping the children happy and safe) is being a fundamental component of the child's development. As a nanny I am with the child a large portion of the day, so it is critical to introduce both academic and social stimulation throughout the day. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a child progress under my care!

My experience with special needs children...

In high school I was a peer tutor for mentally challenged students. My role was to create lesson plans that were developmentally appropriate for the class as a whole, as well as work individually with students to improve their education.
