A little bit about me

My name is Chloe Cratty, I am 24 years old and Mama to a sweet baby boy named Jaxon. I am from the cape originally but have also lived in Florida for a short period. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I have lots of experience in babysitting children of all ages including my nine-year-old brother since he was an infant. I also have some experience in daycare. While in Florida I got to work at Bloom Academy where I had the privilege of spending time with all ages, infants through Pre-k, before I ended up settling into the one-year-old classroom. I have since moved back home to Cape Cod and am looking to get back to working while still being able to care for my own child. I feel very confident in my ability to provide equal and adequate care to multiple children after months of patiently caring for 6-8 one-year-olds on a regular basis. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have lots of experience babysitting kids of all ages, including my younger brother who is now nine years old. I also worked in a daycare before I got pregnant with my son. There, I cared for 6-8 one-year-olds everyday in my classroom and I absolutely loved it!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When the weather is acceptable I love to be outside! I think fresh air and sunshine are extremely important, as is staying active. I grew up playing sports and swimming all summer, so I love to get the children I’m caring for out and active when I can. I even taught my younger brother to swim just a few years ago. Of course all children are different and some might not enjoy these activities as much as others, but I’m willing to do most any outdoor activity a child wants to as long as their family is comfortable with it! For those who don’t want to spend as much time outdoors, or in the winter months, I love finding craft ideas on Pinterest for all ages. Craft time with the kids and making sentimental keepsakes for families was one of my favorite parts of working in daycare!

My experience with special needs children...

There was a few children in the daycare I worked in that were on the Autism spectrum. Some of these children needed extra attention and support, and some thrived more independently. I always let the child lead and adjust my methods of providing care based on the needs of each individual child. My younger brother is also on the autism spectrum, and I have cared for him since he was an infant.
