A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Taylor! I have a passion for working with children and I aspire to have many of my own someday I have taken many paid babysitting jobs in my neighborhood and outside of it on occasion. I have worked with newborn babies all the way up to 11 year olds. I love children and since I’m barely an adult I have a special way of connecting with the children I am watching. I love to play with the kids and make them laugh or if they are older just listen to everything they want to talk about. I encourage learning activities when I can but at the end of the day it’s all about the happiness and safety of the children for me. I am a great cook as so my family and past babysitting gigs have said and I am a thorough cleaner. I am not officially certified in cpr but I did take classes for it in high school and I know basic first aid. I would love to look after your little ones! I promise they are safe with me.

I have volunteered at nonprofit learning centers for kids over the years and I have been a tutor for multiple children for math.

Playing with the children, just talking and listening to whatever they have to say. Encouraging them to engage in learning activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me safety is the most important part about caring for a child but being a caregiver is more than just being around and making sure they are safe. To me connecting with a child and having them see you as a person they enjoy spending time with is the most valuable skill you can have.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have broad experience with special needs children but I have cared for 2 in my experience and personally I think I handled it well. I am not perfect because I do not have expertise in that field but I know how to connect and communicate with kids so I will care for your child within the absolute best of my abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One time I was watching a 7 year old named Hayden and he had asked me if I would make a fort with him and I did and when I was about to leave for the night he ran up and hugged me and said that was the best fort ever and that he wanted to build an even bigger one next time.
