A little bit about me

I am a MACTE-certified Montessori Teacher for Infants and Toddlers. I have 7 years of experience in a Montessori Classroom. 5 of those I was the lead teacher in the Infant classroom. In the classroom, I developed a curriculum where cultures from around the world were a focal point as well as hands-on sensory experiences for each child. During COVID I developed a guide for parents in my classroom so that they could maintain the routines of the classroom and be informed about Montessori practices. My classroom met all of the early childhood state standards for the infant age group, as well as maintaining a strict adherence to the Montessori philosophy. It was a school expectation that at least 15 hours of continuing education be completed yearly, maintain first aid and CPR certification, and pass a SLED background check. Before working in a Montessori Classroom I was a stay-at-home mom with my 2 special needs children. I have my Bachelor's in Psychology from Coker University.
