Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Although I have not worked professionally in childcare, I have been the trusted caregiver for many of my friends’ children, ranging from newborns to 15 years old. I am often the first person they call because they know their children will be safe, loved, and well cared for. Some of my friends trust me so deeply that they prefer leaving their children with me over their own family members. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, creating a fun, nurturing, and dependable environment where they feel comfortable and supported.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping children active, engaged, and having fun! Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, coloring, painting, reading books, puzzles, building with blocks, and educational games. I also enjoy spending time outdoors by going to the park, taking nature walks, playing sports, riding bikes or scooters, blowing bubbles, and exploring playgrounds. I believe in balancing fun with learning while creating a safe, positive, and nurturing environment where children can grow, be creative, and simply enjoy being kids.

I strive to create a home away from home where children feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves. I believe every child deserves patience, encouragement, and a caring adult who listens without judgment. By providing a secure environment with structure, compassion, and plenty of fun, I help children build confidence, express themselves, and enjoy each day while giving parents peace of mind. My goal is for every family to know their children are not only safe in my care but genuinely cared for and valued.

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not worked professionally as a special needs caregiver, I have gained valuable experience by assisting my mother, a licensed registered nurse, during private-duty care for children with special needs. Through those experiences, I learned the importance of patience, compassion, and adapting care to each child’s unique needs. I have been around children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, autism, and ADHD. As the mother of a son with ADHD, I also have firsthand experience using positive coping strategies, routines, and redirection techniques to help children stay focused, manage emotions, and feel supported. I am committed to providing a safe, understanding, and encouraging environment for every child in my care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love creating fun, hands-on experiences that encourage imagination and creativity. We enjoy arts and crafts, painting, coloring, reading, puzzles, educational games, and spending time outdoors at parks and playgrounds. One of my favorite traditions is creating themed movie nights. For example, while watching Disney’s The Good Dinosaur, we made a “mountain” of mashed potatoes with broccoli and cheese, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, and gravy to match the movie. I believe these kinds of activities create lasting memories while making learning and family time fun.
