A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Christine — a mom of five (ages 10–19) with a genuine love for children and family life. I coach a U12 soccer team and bring years of hands-on experience caring for kids at every stage.

I’ve completed multiple SafeSport trainings (most recently Fall 2025), which reinforces my commitment to child safety, healthy boundaries, and clear communication with parents. Previously CPR/First Aid certified (comfortable renewing as needed).

After 25 years leading healthcare and tech organizations, I chose to step away from corporate life to do work that’s meaningful and personal. I’m calm under pressure, confident with basic medical care, and quick to assess situations thoughtfully and safely.

I’m highly organized, dependable, and take pride in maintaining a warm, well-run home. Families appreciate my steady presence, clear communication, and the ease that comes from knowing their children are in capable, caring hands.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to raising my own children, my recent experience includes volunteering with Gwinnett Children’s Shelter (House of Hope), where I support children and families during periods of transition.

I also coach a U12 soccer team, providing structured supervision, mentoring, and positive guidance for school-age children in group settings.

This work requires patience, emotional awareness, consistency, and an ability to create a sense of safety and normalcy for children who may be in challenging circumstances.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

• Outdoor play and fresh air: park visits, playground time, and walks

• Swimming and water safety activities

• Reading together, library trips, and age-appropriate learning

• Arts and crafts: coloring, simple art projects, and creative play

• Helping children learn new skills like potty training, tying shoes, and building independence

• Making simple meals and snacks together (toast, cereal, easy prep)

• Teaching responsibility by making chores and helping around the house fun and engaging

• Supporting routines that build confidence, structure, and positive habits

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing parents with genuine peace of mind. Knowing their children are safe, cared for, and understood allows parents to focus on what they need to do — and then come home able to be fully present with their family.

A close second is supporting the household as a whole. When I help maintain routines, care for the home, and anticipate needs, it creates a calmer environment for everyone and helps the family function more smoothly.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience comes primarily from parenting. I have cared for my own children with OCD (repetitive compulsive behaviors), Asperger’s with involuntary tics, and asthma. This has given me firsthand understanding of patience, routine, emotional regulation, and creating supportive environments where children feel safe and understood.

I’m calm, observant, and reliable when it comes to following care plans, administering medications accurately, and responding thoughtfully to symptoms or triggers. I’m comfortable working closely with parents to follow established routines and guidance to support each child’s individual needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Professionally nannying is newer to me, so my most meaningful moments as a caregiver come from being a mom. My favorite moments are when children feel safe enough to trust me with their feelings or come to me for help learning something new — whether it’s a new skill, a routine, or working through a tough moment.

My kids often tell me that acts of service are my love language, and I think that shows up in how I care for children and families every day — quietly, thoughtfully, and with consistency.
