I have been married for 14 years. We share two children together. Our son is 14, and our daughter is turning 12. I consider myself patient and understanding with children. I enjoy spending time on their level and encouraging imagination. Drawing, stories, reading, or just simple play is the idea. Down time is just as important as having fun. Rest, relaxation, and fun. Meals set to a schedule is also my focus, as well as encouraging respectful behavior. I do not allow desserts or candies until after a good meal. Snacking is acceptable with certain limitations. I am relatively easy going. I will work with patience and love to ensure a healthy environment of safety and structure.

I have homeschooled my children for 3 years, 3rd-5th grade. My deepest most dearest concerns are for children. I've worked with children, raised children, taught children. Ive taught Awanas through the church for a volunteered position, lasting a week through a summer with approximately 15 youngsters to keep my eyes on for a period of an 8hour day. I am patient and able to love and handle the time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Laughter and smiles are the greatest memories anyone can make. Sometimes just being funny without worry offers children the chance to take themselves less seriously. When you can play around and laugh at yourself, it opens a child up to do the same. It actually offers them the ability to be what they are...children. They teach us that perfection is an overrated idea, and love well received can't be reached without humor and forgiveness. The best memories I've ever made was to make sad children laugh uncontrollably. There's a light that breaks through from that experience. It's contagious.
