More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny for two children from new born age until they were 9 and 8 years old. I have also been a preschool assistant teacher, and worked for several other families previous to that position. I have several excellent references and they would be happy to vouch for my skills and character.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I gravitate toward art and music and I love singing to young babies as well as teaching older children how to play music or create in any way shape or form. My degree is in visual art and I find every form of creativity to be instrumental in intellectual and social development for people at any age, and love to build habits that cultivate these skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Consistency and communication with children and parents alike. I like to make sure that we are all on the same page about expectations of me and the kiddos, and following through with those expectations helps build trust and stability for everyone in the family.

My experience with special needs children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are a lot, but I have to say the first time the kiddos I took care most recently could reciprocate an “I love you” is high on the list. I also was very prideful of being able to teach them artistic skills and see them really care about their paintings.
