I’m a stay at home mom, who homeschools my son. I was a lead prek 3 teacher for about 4 years and I’ve worked with special needs since I was about 18yrs old. My 11 yr old son would be with me during this time but he has classes he signs into on his laptop. I’m looking for something part-time to help someone out and help myself out. I’m also a Cosmetologist part-time that I will schedule my clients around my work schedule.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve cared for children at Metrolina Christian School, I was a RBT for special needs and I also taught a 1/2 day class for pre-kindergarten in Matthews. I was also the cheer commissioner for Mint Hill years ago.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like doing crafts, depending on the age, I love natural depending on the weather, reading books, teaching what I can, and watching them grow each week. I love routine and staying consistent, not just for me but the child as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny for me is trust. Trust between the child and myself and trust between the parent and myself. Also, making sure the child knows they are important and help them feel safe. Love hard and show them you know how to have fun moments, silly and laughable moments.

My experience with special needs children...

I was an RBT for in-home care while the parent ran errands or even if they needed to do things around the house I would be there. I’ve also volunteered for the special Olympics and the Special Needs prom.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There have been many moments for sure. My favorite moments are usually the ones when they are using their imagination. I love watching them play with their animals, babies, Barbie’s, cars etc and hearing them talk with no one else around.
