Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Safety of children is most important and essential. I have nurtured babies, feeding diapering, bathing and all manor of care. Safely driven children to and from school, play dates, classes, outings etc. Homework help, kept complex household schedules. Meal prep, and clean up. Pet care, errands, grocery shopping, light housecleaning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It’s fun to be physically active outdoors, hiking on trails, exploring nature, playing in creeks, also going on outings to the beach, park or just playing at the playground. Making couch forts on a rainy day, and baking cookies. Being creative with crafts, and painting works of art! Reading to children is essential, and really gets the imagination going. I also try to encourage responsibility in children by having them clean up their toys and seeing the value in being a good helper.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh my gosh, I love kids, and I especially adore babies. It’s wonderful to see the world unfold before a child’s eyes, it’s all new to them. It’s great being around that, it keeps me young.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a special needs child. I have spent so many years in specialized therapies. I have developed a very intuitive and sensitive nature in dealing with my child’s special needs, as so much nuance is absolutely required when striving for important developmental milestones. I have taken parent training course at Yale Child Study Center.
