More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes tutoring K–5 students through the Kidzone Program back in high school. I've helped raise my nieces and nephew since they were toddlers, so I’m very comfortable with kids of all ages. I recently nannied a 1-year-old, which included feeding, playtime, and keeping up with their routine. I also did teaching while finishing my degree in Elementary Education, where I worked hands on in a classroom, helping kids learn and grow every day. All of these experiences have really shaped my love for working with children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading books together, and playing fun learning games. I love spending time outside when the weather’s nice whether that’s going for walks, playing at the park, or doing simple nature scavenger hunts. I also enjoy helping with homework and finding creative ways to make learning fun. Every child is different, so I like getting to know what they enjoy and building activities around that!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child feels safe, loved, and supported. It’s not just about watching them it’s about building trust and being someone they can count on. Kids learn and grow so much through everyday moments, so I think it’s really important to be patient, present, and create a positive environment where they can feel confident and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children includes working with students from different backgrounds who had a range of needs. During teaching, I worked with students with learning differences, children with autism, and those who showed challenging behaviors. I learned how to be patient, stay calm, and adjust my teaching style to support each child the best I could. It taught me the importance of understanding every child’s unique needs and helping them feel safe, supported, and included.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the 1-year-old I cared for took their first steps while I was watching them. It was such a special moment, and I felt so lucky to be there for it! We had been practicing standing and taking little steps with support for weeks, so seeing that progress made me feel proud and so happy for them. Moments like that remind me why I love working with kids they grow and learn so much, and it’s amazing to be part of that journey.
