A little bit about me

I have spent most of my adult life working with kids. When my son was little our house was the place all the children came. I was the cool mom. I love to watch children learn to express themselves. The joy I see in their faces when they master a task or reach a goal is so rewarding. I have a gift of working with children. I don't know where I got it but I have always had it. I am able to reach children at whatever level they are at. I love to laugh, play and educate the children I work with. I have my Masters degree so education has always been important to me. I have a great imagination, I am crafty with children's projects whether for school or making a blanket tent in the living room. I like to involve children in things that help them to grow character, self esteem and humility. I know I am helping to lay the groindwork to the kind of adult they will become and that is very humbling for me. It is an honor for me to be in any child's life. I look forward to the opportunity to make a difference in their life. Sometimes it is just for a moment and other times it is a lifetime.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a single mom with a grown son. I was very active with his education, sports and tutoring. I have been a nanny for 9 years. I really am not a babysitter because I am looking for being a significant part of your child/children lives. I am a big advocate of education. Tucson has a lot of work to do to bring public education up to par. I have nurtured children from 3 weeks to 12yo. I love being a nanny. I am firm with the children but prefer positive reimbursement. I like to challenge, explore, enlighten and build confidence in the children that I am so blessed to have in my life. I am very organized, reliable, educated and committed to the welfare of the family.

I enjoy teaching children the value of learning. I continue to learn and strive to challenge myself in the process. I love to read with enthusiasm, walks, teaching responsibility, respect for others. I love sports! I really can’t participate but I love watching!

This is a tough question. I have had SO many. But one that always gets me is when a child in my care says “I love you Miss Cindy”. What else is there?
