More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience caring for kids started from my upbringing. When I was 5, my older sister had her first child. Three more children later, I was always babysitting. In my early teens got I took on a regular babysitting position for two young boys ages 2 and 4. I babysat for them for a couple of years as a young teenager.
My understanding of children and their needs was strengthened when I enrolled at Cornell University. Though not my official major, I was generally fascinated by how our minds evolve. As electives, I took courses in infant cognitive science and child development. I learned how infants and toddlers see the world in the first months, how they grow through socialization, and how their brain functions.
Since then, I have 5 year old niece and 3 year old nephew that I feel I can connect with better due to these courses.
While my experience is more personal than professional, I enjoy engaging with young kids, teaching them new skills, and learning from them as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a graphic designer, so I love art! I think its important for kids to have activities that stimulate them. Blocks are a classic. Coloring books are also fun. Also, Toys that are interactive and educational like musical keyboards, and such. I also love doing puzzles with kids, or we can just play make believe : )
The most important part about being a nanny...
Helping children feel comfortable and confident growing into themselves as individuals.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I dont have one professionally yet. But, I love taking my niece and nephew to the park, and their excitement to be there is always infectious, though eventually tiring!
