More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I recently wrapped up a part-time position caring for a toddler on a regular basis, where I supported daily routines, potty training progression, creative play, outings, and helped her transition smoothly into school. We built a great bond, and I worked closely with her parents to keep communication consistent and clear. I also have experience working with kids through youth group leadership and private piano lessons, where I supervised groups, supported one-on-one learning, and organized games and activities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing simple, creative activities that let them lead while still giving structure. For example, we might do a painting session where she chooses colors and we explore themes like animals, seasons, or “paint your favorite place.” It builds creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence.
One of the best activities for children is simply being outdoors, whether it be walking in parks or playing in playgrounds. I always enjoy outdoor activities as it builds confidence for kids as well as social skills.
I also enjoy building with blocks, sometimes free play, and sometimes turning it into a small challenge like “Can we build a house for a stuffed animal?” or “How tall can we make a tower before it falls?” It encourages problem-solving and imagination while still being fun and light.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a foundation of trust and emotional safety for the child. Children thrive when they feel secure, understood, and respected by the adults caring for them.
A great nanny isn’t just supervising activities or keeping a schedule.. they are creating a space where the child feels comfortable exploring, expressing themselves, and developing confidence. This means being patient, attentive, and responsive to the child’s needs while also maintaining clear communication and consistency with the parents.
When a nanny can form a genuine connection with the child while supporting the family’s routines and values, it creates a stable environment where the child can grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

My favorite moment was when she started running up to hug me when I arrived at her home and remembered my name for the first time.

Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Ashley A.
Hi, I’m Ashley! I believe the best nannies become an extension of the family, and that’s exactly the role I’ve had the privilege of filling for the past three years. Working for a single father taught me the importance of being dependable, proactive, and creating a calm, loving environment where children can thrive. I enjoy planning outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, reading, and activities that encourage curiosity and confidence. Whether I’m helping with school routines, after-school activities, household organization, or simply being a trusted, caring presence, my goal is to make life a little easier for parents while creating happy childhood memories. I’m looking for a family where I can build a long-term relationship and provide the same level of care, dedication, and support that I brought to my previous family.

Hello parents!
I am in my late thirties, ex VP of Operations looking for some flexibility in my life. I do not have children but love being around them.
The number one thing I hear from many parents is how difficult it is to match up your morning work schedule with school drop off, and that shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. There is a way to make this affordable for everyone, especially if you have neighbors who also need morning drop off!
I was a former Girl Scout Leader, my fingerprints are in the Federal database because I have worked with children in the past, I was CPR certified for a time but would have to renew that certification, I am communicative, and extremely organized.
