During high-school, I was promoted to Day Care Manager in a busy exercise gym. In college, I nannied for two families. One, a hearing impaired 2 y/o boy, and the other, girls aged 6, 3, and 3 months. I love children and being a positive role model. I feel that discovering through play makes more inventive adults. Learning kindness and the golden rule are lessons I feel prepare every child for success in life. Respect, kindness, dignity. I was never spanked as a child, but rather had parents who used an honest, calm approach where I temporairly lost and had the opportunity to earn back age appropriate extra-curriculars, toys, and other fun items. I take child rearing very seriously, having co-parented a now 21 year old for 14 years, from 3 -17. We were posterchildren for how that should work when adults always have the child's best interest in mind. I respect parents' rights to approach discipline and boundary setting.
