More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My horizons are broadened when I decided to to become a recruiter student I went to school for Behavioral Health and also studied child development. During that time I worked as the direct peer specialist and work with children between the ages of three and 17 by providing therapeutic in-home services to families. I also have much experience at home with raising two children and four grandchildren. I am also the go to babysitter for our extended family and friends. I'm very much involved with the Westside Catholic charities Head start program and am a board member I also advocate in the community about services families can benefit from for their young children. My family runs the pizza business and I am currently a part-time nail students and I'm seeking a part-time Nanny position whete I will I be able to continue to provide care, and empathetic love by nourishing and engaging in age appropriate developmental activities for babies and young children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy Hands-On activities and have a large collection of developmental games and toys for babies and children. I also enjoy Hands-On arts and crafts activities as well as playing outside for children to get safe outdoor play. I try my best to occupy children with hands on activities rather than screen time. I also like to sing and dance and any kind of game a child requests, if available.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's very important to me that the caregivers know that their child has been left in the best possible care. I'm a firm believer that physical touch is very important to a baby as well as using a compassionate loving voice so the baby can trust you. Once the baby feels comfortable with me then the parents and or caregivers can be rest assured that their baby and children are being treated and respected with love and affection. It's very important to me to respect our family traditions and values.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite Nanny moment is when family and friends bring their children over to our home. I like to make everybody feel welcomed in our home and I do that by providing unconditional love with lots of positive reinforcements and redirecting so everyone has a good time. Often children do not want to leave the home when they come to get picked up and that tells me that this is the place of love.
