More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was our neighborhood’s busiest babysitter as a teenager and never had a weekend without a job lined up for myself!
From babies to preteens, I was their favorite sitter!

I also come from a large family with two younger siblings who were often left in my care whenever my parents needed to go somewhere without them.

From age 13 on I was quite the busy babysitter and my interest in caring for children has always been with me!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading to/with children.
Teaching them the alphabet and numbers, the names of animals, places and things in both English, Spanish and French is another great joy!
I love doing crafts, coloring and painting with them.
Exploring the outside world helps to introduce them to nature and her marvels.
Walking and strolling around to see what goes on around us helps to provide them with fresh air and fresh ideas about the world.
I help children to learn their addresses and important telephone numbers in case of emergencies.
I love to introduce children to music and the joys of dance and self expression.
I teach them everyday, and in many different ways, that life is full of mystery and magic!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Besides their physical safety being my TOP priority, nurturing a child’s sense of well-being and confidence are important priorities to have while I am nannying. Happy, healthy and confidently positive children deal with life much better, no matter their situation.

As a nanny I realize and respect the fact that someone is entrusting their child’s safety and well-being to me and it is my due diligence to deliver on that each and EVERY DAY.

I take on the same responsibilities as their parent while they are under my care and I take that most seriously, while always respecting their parenting style, rules and boundaries.

My experience with special needs children...

For over four years I did care for a child with food allergies and asthma, making sure that he received his dosages of medication throughout the day when they were scheduled.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What gives me joy each and every time is seeing a child grow comfortable and confident in their new skills and abilities. That joy never grows old.

I try to nurture that sense of accomplishment, knowing that with this comes their newfound knowledge that determination oftentimes pays off.
