More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have interned at a child welfare agency during the summer of 2022. In short, I met with children and cared for them until their parents arrived. I changed diapers, fed children, engaged them in age appropriate learning/play, and so on. More can be explained if needed.
I have worked at a child welfare agency as a dependency case manager. I was in charge of meeting with children at least once a week and ensured all their needs are being met including doctor visits being up to date etc. I have transported children and also observed and assessed their developmental needs. More can be explained if needed.
I have attended Florida Atlantic University and received my bachelors degree in child welfare/social work. I have studied children’s developmental needs and how to properly care for a child, etc.
I have also baby sat in the past but always for family members or close family friends. One example, I have baby sat my first cousin from birth until he reached school age.

I enjoy engaging children in age appropriate activities. These activities could include swimming (if age appropriate and permitted by parents), playing at parks, going for walks, engaging with age appropriate toys, watching age appropriate movies/shows, creating safe and simple crafts, engaging children in educational and interactive games, etc.
I also am capable of assisting with homework and providing light tutoring on school lessons if needed (if applicable for the child).

The most important part about being a nanny is respecting the family’s boundaries while ensuring the child’s needs are being met in the safest and most helpful way. Being a nanny is all about creating a safe and happy environment for children to feel comfortable around.
