Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I helped care for my youngest nephew for a few weeks when he was three months old and I've been helping take care of my oldest nephew on and off since he was a baby.
I assist in teaching kids puppet workshops with Black Cherry Puppet Theater since the summer of 2025. I’ve worked with groups of kids often ranging from 7 to 12 and with a group of mentally and physically disabled teens. These workshops are often multi-day, with each session focusing on building different kinds of puppets using common materials. Depending on the age, we also have them write out their own stories in groups using the characters they created. Each session ends with performances from all the kids, showcasing their puppets and the scenarios they got themselves into. My role in these workshops is to assist the instructor by handing out materials and engaging with the kids as they build their puppets.
