A little bit about me

Hey yall! I am a 30 year old mama, newer to the jacksonville area, and coming out of caregiver in colorado. I have 3 children ages 13, nearly 6, and 4. They are all in school now and I am looking to get back into the work force! I love children of all ages and am starting school in January to become a choir teacher. I'm available monday-friday 9am-2pm and for date nights as well starting at 4 pm. Just need a little break to pick my babies up from school. Available for weekends too with advance notice. I am trained in g-tubes for feeding and medications administration, respiratory therapy and tracheotomies. I come from a background of caregiving in ALS, stroke, dementia, and alzheimers patients. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny from ages 15 through 24 with various families. I cared for children ages ranging newborn to 9 years old. I got into caregiving around 24 and transitioned to that but I miss working with babies.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing silly games, being outside, going for walks and to the playground, singing songs to help them learn and make them happy. Coloring, arts and crafts, going to the library and reading stories. Going out to the zoo or a museum or fair to get social interaction and most importantly asking and answering questions to stimulate their blossoming minds.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Helping children grow and providing a sense of protection, safety, and healing when they are around me. Just truly nurturing all the potential they have.

My experience with special needs children...

Autism, Adhd, and dyslexia and not with children but I do have adult care knowledge of gtubes, traecheotomies, medication administration, and respiratory therapy as well as ostomies care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was around 20 years old I was caring for 2 sisters ages 3 and 5. They were sweet little lights and I took them to the children's museum for an outing one day. We were in the art room and decided to all paint pictures to hang on our fridges. I have been caring for them for about 9 months at this point. All three of us ended up painting pictures of the three of us together. It was so sweet to see how they saw me through their paintings. We hung them up that afternoon when we got home and it will always be such a sweet memory for me.
