A little bit about me

Hi, I am Courtney!

I am 36 years old. I’m a mom of three boys, ages 6,9,13. I’m convinced I will have baby fever forever! I love working with kiddos from all backgrounds and ages. Newborn stage is my fave! My six year old has Autism so I have a lot of experience working with children on the spectrum. I am very patient, and love helping them build new skills. I’ve been a hairstylist for 18 years, I have turned clients into family! I’m fun and friendly, but also work hard! I was a pediatric occupational therapy assistant for two years, I’m well versed in child development and implementing activities to meet milestones. I am in college (online) getting my bachelors in health science, with the plan of applying to graduate school to be a physician assistant! I have babysat and worked with many children over the years. I would like to step into this role as I pursue my degree!

Pediatric OT for First Steps. In-home therapy for kiddos 0-3! Lots of experience with special needs, and developmentally delayed children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing sensory play/activities. I like to paint rocks. I like to do milestone handprints on canvas- turn them into something seasonal!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping the kiddos safe!!! Also, building a trusting relationship with the whole family!

My experience with special needs children...

I have one! As a former pediatric OT I am very comfortable with special needs of all kinds. Including trach/vent, feeding tube. My six year old son has Autism so I have personal experience as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This is my time trying to land an actual nanny job. I have babysat children off and on. Not specific, but my fave moments were always the summer and outside! There is so much to do outside, minimal supplies needed, and free!
