Growing up, my mother & grandmother ran a daycare. My mom eventually took it over and I assisted her. I did everything from teaching/planning activities for children of all ages, most admin work, 1 on 1 time with special needs children, preparing snacks and lunches, outdoor time, movie days, etc. That was a part of my life for 8 years! I eventually parted ways and went into marketing (which I do enjoy). However, I really loved childcare, and am trying to find my niche in the field again. It brings me joy and a sense of love from those little humans that you cannot get anywhere else.
