Hello parents! My name is Courtney and I’m 24 years old(Harrogate, TN) I’m a very responsible babysitter/nanny. I love kids! Along with caring for your children I can help with cleaning, snacks and meals, laundry, baths, dr appointments, carpool to practices/other, homework, and most likely anything you may need my help for. I don’t mind also caring for animals, I have a cat of my own. I have my own vehicle and license. I have experience with special needs care, my youngest sibling was born with a birth defect that left him wheelchair bound and unable to talk, he’s basically got the brain functions of a 3 year old. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m not licensed,but I’ve helped with homework on multiple occasions with 2 different kids. Also a boy I watched for 6 months asked me to play tball and help him practice because he was going to try out for the Coca Cola team the season following.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts are my favorite,but I can do anything the children like indoors and outdoors(depending on the weather allowing)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the children are safe and perfectly healthy and doing everything I can that will make them happy and feel loved. Taking as much stress and worry as I can off the parents.

My experience with special needs children...

My younger brother is special needs. He has a condition called agenesis of the corpus callosum. To sum it up he is 20 years old but his brain functions like a 2 year old, he can’t walk and can’t talk. I’ve helped take care of him for as long as I can remember. From changing his diapers, feeding him, playing with his musical toys to make sure he laughs and has fun, make sure he takes his Kepra medicine routinely, changing clothes, but bathing is a challenge it takes 2 people to get in and out of the tub. I still help my parents take care of him whenever they call me for help.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I watched these 3 boys for the longest time I have ever been a babysitter to anyone gave me the best moment and made me feel so happy. I was with them from the moment they would wake up to the time the sun went down and I would go home. I had all 3 boys for 8-10 hours a day so they got used to me pretty quick. After while though it was like we were family and my favorite moment as a nanny was when the oldest called me sissy (the other 2 were infants and can’t talk) and to this day refers to me as sissy. It makes my heart happy to know I’ve made a impact like that on a child.
