The most important part of being a nanny to me is the connection I build with the children and the role I play in their growth and development. I truly love watching them learn, explore, and discover the world around them—whether it's their first time recognizing a letter, figuring out how something works, or expressing themselves through art. The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a family I cared for with two young boys. The youngest, about a year old, wasn't talking yet but had a habit of pulling off his socks and hiding them—always right before we needed to leave. I searched everywhere for them, and in a moment of playful exasperation, I asked out loud, "Where are your socks?" not really expecting an answer. He left the room with his bottle, and a few seconds later came back, bottle still in his mouth, holding one sock in each hand. I laughed so hard—he knew exactly where they were the whole time.
