A little bit about me

Hi. My name is Crissie. I have worked in childcare for 21 years. I am currently taking online classes to receive my associate degree in early childhood education. I have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I am married and live in Archbald with my husband and 3 pugs. I’m a pretty easy going person. Fun, loving dependable. I’ve worked in 3 childcare centers in my 21 years of being in the early childhood education field and have worked with children of all ages. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my family. I am currently learning ASL as my son is hard of hearing.
I am pretty much an open book so please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. 😊

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked at Tiny Treasures Daycare Center in Largo, Fl for almost 14 years before they closed. I then moved back home to Pa and have been a stay at home wife ever since.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything really. Digging in the dirt, camping, hiking, swimming, playing in the snow. Anything outdoor I am always excited for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being there to meet both the child’s and the parents needs. Building trust and having open communication.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a so who is special needs. He’s autistic, has cerebral palsy and is hard of hearing. I do know some asl

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t really have a “nanny moment” story to share, but on my last day at my center before we closed down, I was feeling really sad. That had been my home for 14 years and the thought of not being there and seeing my daycare kids was really starting to take a toll on me. Although I tried not to show how upset I was, some of the preschool kids noticed and decided as a group to make me some cards. They each made a personalized card with special “messages” inside them and then got tissue paper and construction paper and made me a bouquet of flowers. I cried so many tears that day.
