More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've baby sat since I was 9 yrs old. I also have two wonderful kids of my own. One is 21 and has blessed me with a grandson who is 3 and finally my son is 13. I also have nieces and nephews I have cared for. I have been a nanny for a 1st Sargent and her husband who was also in the Army. I even lead the toddlers in Sunday school. It was very rewarding! Caring for children is a joy for me. I love seeing them learn and grow and smile and play.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I'm very easy going and love to play with the children. When we are first learning each other their likes and dislikes. I like to let them lead or show me their toys, games, and books. It's fun to see what they favor this helps me with in a way bond and know the child better. Inside I love playing games, reading, playing with toys that the child chooses to show me. Playing tea, pretend play, cars and Legos. I love it all really.
Outdoor activities very depending on the weather. It is very important to the children get out to play and breathe in fresh air. Outside can play games, do sidewalk chalk, art of all kinds, Go for a nice nature walk and learn about the wonderful world we live in. If allowed swimming and water play when appropriate, I love to play cars. Everyday educational things will be put in place. I do this with implementation of an age appropriate educational things into song dance play and reading. Making learning fun is so important for the child's future.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Taking good care of the precious little ones that are trusted in your care. Communication is so important keeping the parents in the loop of things. Make sure you're entertaining and teaching, it's important to be like a family member so the child is comfortable in your care and with your energy. Always be completely up front and honest with the parents so if any thing comes up it can be handled for the best of the child.
My experience with special needs children...
I have been an in home care taker for children with specific needs. As well as worked with the elderly with dementia. I find caring for people with special needs to be the most rewarding.
