I have over 8 years of experience with special needs children, my 6-year-old is autistic, and my 8-year-old nephew is also plus adhd. My son did not start speaking until he was 5 so i have experience with nonverbal children as well.

acknowledging when a child is on the right track doing the right thing. so many times, children feel down on themselves and get sad or feel less determined when things go wrong. but it's our job to raise them up and praise their good decisions we can't just see them when they fail at things, we have to see them when they succeed as well.
