More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught catechism classes for my parish for 4 years from ages 7-12. I have also taught confirmation with teenagers ranging from 13-18yrs old. I was a coordinator for youth at an air-force base and worked with children from 4yrs-15yrs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, going to the zoo, playing sports, making up stories, acting plays, playing indoors/outdoors (hide-and-seek, make-belief, tag)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being able to be a part of someone’s life. Life is truly a gift and being able to care for and nurture someone is a reward within itself.

My experience with special needs children...

Have volunteered for events in which I had to take care of a special needs child(ren) for a day and we would eat together and play together. I would look after them and make sure they took medication (if needed)

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was volunteering for missionaries of charity and I was at the playground with a couple of 6 and 7 year olds. It was a warm summer day and I was wearing sandals. We were on the tire swing and one of my sandals was slipping off. The kids thought it was so funny and teased me that I was like a baby losing their shoe and that I needed a grown-ups help. It was very funny to see how amused they were.

Hi there! I'm Salem, a school counselor with a master's degree in education and years of experience caring for kids of all ages. I've been babysitting and nannying since I was young, and honestly, it's always been one of my favorite things to do. I love helping kids feel safe, seen, and supported, whether that's through imaginative play, homework help, or just being a fun, steady presence in their day. I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely passionate about kids' wellbeing. Families I've worked with know they can count on me to show up with a big smile and a lot of heart!

Beth O. - Seeking Work in St. Louis

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in St. Louis, MO: Beth O.

I have always loved working with children, and it was my main form of work through high school
and college. I worked abroad for 3 years for a non profit that focused on youth intervention and development as the project manager and fundraising coordinator. Once returning to the United States I immediately got back into nannying and worked alongside a family full time for a year prior to being married. While working for this family I did meal prep, laundry, household cleaning, pet sitting and evening babysitting/overnights when needed. After finishing that job, I worked part time for a single father and helped get the kids up, ready and to school in the mornings, and also picked them up and provided assistance with school work and dinner until the father was home from work. I am now looking for a part or full time job that pays me for what I feel my experience and skills over the years qualify me for. I look forward to meeting and becoming part of your family!
