A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Cynthia. I’m a planner, but can also be spontaneous! On my free time I like to rearrange and organize. I’m in the process of decluttering so I’m all about donating things I don’t need or use. I have a 4.5 year old preschooler whom I love teaching new things Montessori style whether it’s cooking, cleaning, or learning. On my free time I enjoy baking and being creative. I love to bargain shop and find deals if I have time. I Iove to travel and enjoy it more when I find the best deals and save! I love animals, but unfortunately I am allergic to cats. I currently work full time Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm, off on weekends and holidays. After ten years with the same agency in the office setting I am ready for a change. I am CPR certified and travel with a LifeVac in my car. I am easy to get along with and would love the opportunity to meet you and your family and fur babies!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered for AWAPS Young Eagles in St. Petersburg from [phone number hidden]. This event occurred twice a year and I would assist with helping kids get on biplanes and helicopters for free flights so they could learn about planes and what it’s like to be a pilot. In college I nannied for 2 families in the morning and sometimes on date nights. The kids were between 1 and 8 years old. Around summer of [phone number hidden] I was a camp counselor for middle school and high school kids. The summer camp was a week long each and I was responsible for 10-12 kids and group discussions/activities. In college I also nannied for two different families while still attending a full schedule.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy drawing, painting, reading, watching movies, playing catch or kick the ball around. Puzzles are always fun or building blocks. If it’s not too hot out I enjoy going to the park or swimming.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love to teach new things to young minds especially when it comes to cooking, cleaning, or being organized. I feel like learning the simple responsibilities in life teaches discipline and character.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not had a lot of experience with special needs children for a long period of time only briefly through my previous job (over 2 years). I have had more experience with special needs adults who were physically and developmentally disabled in a vocational setting and adults who suffered brain damage in a residential setting.
