Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
At a school bingo event held at the middle school, I was responsible for supervising a classroom of about 20 children. I helped them play the game by assisting them in finding their numbers, handing out chips, and making sure everyone was participating and following the rules. I also walked around the room to make sure everyone was safe, included, and having fun.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love planning fun activities for kids both indoors and outdoors! Some things I enjoy doing include arts and crafts, drawing, building Lego sets, making slime, baking cookies or any deserts, and playing games. If the weather is nice, I also enjoy outdoor activities like bike rides, going to the playground, or even just going to grab ice cream for a treat. I’m always happy to come up with fun ideas to keep kids busy and entertained.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of childcare is building trust so kids feel comfortable talking and being themselves. I want them to feel safe and have fun, but also understand that I’m there to make sure they’re safe and making good choices
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve spent time helping care for a child with autism. This mostly meant keeping a close eye on him, being patient, and making sure he felt comfortable.
