Hi! My name is Daejah! I’m a 21 year old college athlete trying to pursue a bachelors degree is children’s developmental psychology. I have worked with children of all ages as well as some adults in just this short time. I enjoy getting to know people, music, volleyball, and of course building a relationship with amazing children! Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a primary caregiver of my nephew (4) and my niece (2) and I’ve been their caregiver since they were born. I also worked at a boys and girls club where I gained experience working with children ranged from ages 5-15. I then was a manager at a fast food restaurant working with young adults ages 16-25

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about becoming a nanny is the understanding that we are molding people‘s children and to becoming great adults so we have to be on our best behavior and represent ourselves great role models that the children can see a great role model outside of their parents, while also developing a relationship with them and still allowing them to experience childhood. Another important factor is a level that this has on the parent. I think it is important to understand that these parents are asking for help because it is needed, not for you to put up another burden on them.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a one on one at the boys and girls clubs for 3 year with 2 different children. One with autism, and the other just behavioral issues. They both now attend the boys and girls club without my help due to great coping skills and communication
