Playing games or video games, dress up, dolls, we can go for walks or play at a park. I’m also cool with kids doing whatever they want to me like I let my little cousin go crazy with make up and I end up looking like a clown.
My experience with special needs children...
At my Camp we had plenty of kids who were on the spectrum. I found it easy to relate to them because they would get frustrated for valid reasons but couldn’t communicate it. It made it easier to connect and help them get what they needed. Lots of times people don’t have the patience to deal with special needs kids but I feel like it’s all part of the job.
