I’m currently a Senior hoping to graduate early and continue to my educational career at NIC. However, I’ve been struggling with finding the time to focus on school every day. Between a 40 hour work week and my responsibilities, my days are jam packed.I LOVE kids, and although I have made it into the adult world of work, responsibilities, and bills, I am a huge kid at heart. Nothing sounds better to me than getting to spend quality time with amazing kids playing, having fun, and most importantly, learning! I’ve been named “mother hen” by friends and family ever since I was a little girl due to my innate calling to care, love, and nurture kids.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a teacher's assistant for Kindergarten classes where my role was to make sure students were on task and absorbing the lessons. Also, I have babysat and watched after kids on and off since I was 11 years old and have made so many amazing memories in the process.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am willing and excited to do whatever it is that is needed! Reading, games, playing together, laundry, grocery shopping, fun activities, etc. I do very well with both structures and independence so whichever it is you prefer or a bit of both will work perfectly with me. I’m a very structured and precision oriented person but I also love letting my creativity shine through with fun crafts and activities.

My experience with special needs children...

I have also worked at a therapeutic special needs centered ranch for kids of all ages. My main job was to teach them about the horses and equipment as well as proper etiquette to follow while on the ground and on the horses. I assisted the special needs students throughout lessons by helping them feel safe and secure as well as ensuring their comprehension of the lesson.
