A little bit about me

Hello! Im a seasoned mother of three. My children are 19, 14 and 8 years old. I have homeschooled for most of the last 2 decades. I have worked in daycare, early learning center and co-operative environments with children ranging in ages from newborn to teenagers. I have been a solo care giver and teacher for many of those age groups- working with groups of children from 2 to 10+ children at a time. I have greatly enjoyed caring for children of all ages. Through the homeschool and learning center positions, I have led montesorri style teaching, exploring creative arts, leading fun projects in science and helping with basics like reading and math.
I would love to help caretake for a family of 2-3 children and potentially have my 8 year old daughter with me as well. We enjoy daily life, cozy at your home making meals and learning together with your kids. Or going out on nature adventures and outings to fulfill weekly errands. House keeping can be included as well upon request.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A favorite nanny moment was when I was actually with my own boys, many years ago, they are 4 years apart. I remember making veggie wraps together and we had put Ramen noodles in them. The boys had to be 7 and 3 years old. They thought the wraps were so fun to make and interesting. Not only did we do lunch but it seemed to become a science and tactile exploration hour too. I remember the wraps didnt hold up well and all the insides fell out all over the table and they kept laughing so much at the noodles and veggies falling out on the table. The job of the boys trying to pick up the noodles became the funniest thing ever to them both.
