I think the most important thing about being a nanny is to be patient and loving. You want every family to be able to trust you in order to leave them with their children. At the same time you want the children to want to be comfortable with you in order to build a good relationship.

A few months ago I nannied for a family with three kids. I would pick them up for school and take them to tutoring at the library and swim practice, on the way I would always play kid friendly songs. There was one song that I always played and every time I would play it all four of us would sing. This made car ride so much fun and enjoyable.
