have experience working with children in sensitive family situations and always approach each child with patience, empathy, and understanding. I’m also experienced in caring for children with special needs, including those with autism, and I take pride in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where they feel safe and understood. I am someone who through resourcefulness, consistency, compassion, and respect, turned some uncertain and difficult situations into thriving and very manageable ones, and those are the kinds of things that fulfill me in the deepest ways.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a nanny, I’m always thinking of fun, creative, and engaging activities tailored to a child’s age and interests. I love weaving in small learning moments while keeping things playful and exploratory—whether that’s trips to the library, nature walks, or hands-on projects. I especially enjoy helping children see the beauty in transforming simple, everyday objects into something meaningful and beautiful! I also think that encouraging creativity while also introducing the idea of sustainability is great.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, I have the unique opportunity to contribute to a family’s dynamic in a more personal and consistent way than say a teacher, or daycare worker, typically can. Being in the home allows me to support not just a child’s development, but also the overall rhythm, values, and emotional well-being of the family. I can tailor care to each child’s individual needs, reinforce routines, and build close, trusting relationships that extend far beyond working hours- becoming a steady, and supportive presence in their everyday lives!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the privilege of nannying for two families, each with a little girl adopted from China and Ethiopia. One of the little girls was severely autistic, and both children had experienced trauma prior to adoption, requiring a great deal of sensitivity, patience, reassurance, and love. Those experiences deeply shaped me—I truly believe they taught me more than I could have ever expected and remain two of my most meaningful and rewarding roles yet.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are far too many moments I’ve loved as a nanny to choose just one. Whether it was being asked to design costumes for a preschool play, having spontaneous dance parties to brighten late afternoons, or those special moments when I first felt that meaningful bond form with each child in my care! The beauty of all children is their ability to look at the world with awe and wonder and I’m very cognizant of that- I too, am never too far away from being able see things on their level as well, which I think it’s quite special. So, all moments, big and small, have given me a deep sense of purpose and joy in being a nanny
