Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Currently, I am a paraeducator for Excelsior Holistic Schools. Previously, I worked for Breathrough in youth foster homes. 2008, I began babysitting and working/volunteering for the local Boys and Girls Club. 2014, I worked as a paraeducator at an elementary school. 2015, I moved to Spoane and nannied for 3 different families. 2017, I became HCA and NAC certified and worked as a home caregiver. My career goal is to be an Art Instructor for youth and provide free-lance lessons on the side. Working with children and youth is my passion because I strive to be influencial in the lives of others.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities include 3-D art projects, macrame, drawing and illustrating, and a variety of other creative projects. Outdoor activities include walking to parks or nearby activities, tie-dye projects, gardening, hiking, wood-building, and much more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is supporting educational and emotional needs of the child. To accomplish this, I work with parents as a team. Parent and family support is as important as the needs of the child/children.

Exelsior Holistic Schools focuses on underserved youth in Spokane. As a paraeducator, I am engaged in learning as I support students on an individual basis. I am thoroughly trained and experienced in proper care for physical, emotional, and developmental disabilities; adults and youth.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most memorable moment I had working with youth and children was snow-shoeing with clients from Daybreak. The activity guides had no idea what they were in for. A group of 9 teenage girls and 2 staff, all inexperienced in snow-shoeing, were in for more than we bargained for. By the end of the outing, stories of our day were shared and never forgotten.
