"Daria is sweet and caring. A friend recommended her and said she has been baby sitting since she was young. She works independently and well without supervision. After just a few days, our toddler is already so comfortable with her. I would recommend Daria if you want some friendly, warm, strong, and independent."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
When I was 13, I began babysitting for neighbors and family friends here and there. Throughout middle and high school, I did lots of volunteer work at local elementary schools, specifically helping tutor kids who needed extra help in their classes. Also in high school, I helped coach soccer to groups of kids 8-12 during a summer soccer camp. From [phone number hidden], I babysat for a family with three boys (ages 2-10) around once a month while the parents went to the theater. Finally, my most recent babysitting job was last summer for a 14 month old. I watched him once a week on my day off from my full-time job from 6am-2pm, and was responsible for making sure he was eating to gain weight and weekly cleaning tasks around the house.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting outside with kids, whether than means going for a walk or going to the park and playing catch, soccer, tag, and whatever else they enjoy. I also love helping kids with legos, puzzles, and card and board games. I really enjoy arts and crafts, and always have, so I really enjoy getting the kids involved in something that encourages them to express their creativity. While the kids might not enjoy it, I have plenty of experience with helping with homework and tutoring. I also enjoy getting out of the house for mini "field-trips," like taking kids to the zoo, aquarium, etc. Additionally, if the parents allow it, I like play9ing video games with the kids or setting up a movie night, letting them build a pillow fort, and making some popcorn.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is to make sure the kids know they are safe with you. I always want the kids to feel comfortable telling me if they scraped their knee, if they want a snack, or if someone is being mean to them on the playground. While no one can provide the comfort that a parent does for their child, I want the child to know that I am there to support them until they can be back in the arms of their parents.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children is limited, and I have never been a babysitter or nanny for a child with special need, but I have volunteered and provided support in a special needs kindergarten class at my former elementary school and helped the teachers wherever they needed me. Most of the kids had ASD or other related developmental delays.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite and most rewarding moment was with the 14 month old I cared for last summer. He was a very shy baby at first and would cry whenever his mom left, and week after week he became more and more excited to see me. His parents and grandparents were shocked by how much he had warmed to me, and shared with me that he has started asking for me by name when I was gone. That alone made me feel so special, and by the end of my time with him, he would ask his grandparents to pick him up so he could watch me drive away and wave to me the whole time. It also was so rewarding to me to see how much he was learning, and the difference in his communication and how many new words he was learning so quickly was amazing to watch.
