Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience working with children in both residential care settings and church childcare services. I previously worked in residential homes supporting youth, where I helped create a safe, structured, and supportive environment. I also helped run Heartbeats at church, caring for children while parents attended service. These experiences strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to care for children of different ages and personalities. I genuinely enjoy helping children feel safe, encouraged, and cared for.

I enjoy doing fun, creative, and engaging activities with children both indoors and outdoors. Some activities I enjoy include arts and crafts, reading, educational games, movie nights, music and dancing, outdoor play, walks to the park, and helping with homework or learning activities. I also enjoy creating routines that keep children active, safe, entertained, and comfortable while making sure they have fun and feel supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure children feel safe, cared for, and genuinely supported while their parents are away. I believe children thrive when they are in a positive, patient, and loving environment. Building trust with both the child and the parents, keeping open communication, and creating meaningful moments with children is what matters most to me.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience caring for children with a variety of special needs through my previous work in residential care and childcare settings. I’ve supported children with autism, ADHD, behavioral and emotional challenges, anxiety, and developmental delays. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, structure, communication, and creating a safe and supportive environment where every child feels understood and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments working with children was during church childcare when one little girl was very shy and didn’t want her mom to leave. After spending time coloring, talking, and helping her feel comfortable, she ended up smiling, playing with the other kids, and giving me a big hug before leaving. Moments like that remind me how important patience, kindness, and making children feel safe really are.
