A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Dawnae! I’ve always had a natural connection with kids, even when I was younger. Im now turning 18 in November this year, I’d often find myself spending time helping them, listening, and being someone they felt comfortable with. I’m outgoing, nurturing, and patient, and I enjoy creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel free to be themselves. I understand every child is different and deserves care that fits who they are.

I’m also mature as well as responsible, and I take trust very seriously. I pay close attention to children’s emotions, safety, and needs, and aim to be a calm, positive presence in their day. I’ve received CPR and first aid training through JROTC and from a close family member who is an EMT, which gave me hands-on knowledge of how to respond in emergencies. I’m currently working toward official CPR and First Aid certification to further strengthen my ability to provide safe care.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience mentoring middle school students ages 12–13, where I helped guide them through lessons about college pathways, financial responsibility, and educational opportunities. I spoke with them about preparing for their future, saving money, and building confidence in themselves. This experience taught me how to be patient, supportive, and attentive to young people’s emotional and developmental needs.

I also have hands-on experience caring for younger children in my family, including helping with daily routines, playtime, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. Through this, I’ve learned how to be gentle, responsible, and attentive, while making sure children feel comfortable, safe, and understood.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing creative and engaging activities like singing, dancing, drawing, and encouraging imagination through play. I also enjoy spending time outdoors with children, such as going on walks, exploring nature, and doing creative learning activities like identifying colors, shapes, and making fun designs with natural things like rocks or leaves.

I enjoy helping children learn in ways that feel fun and natural to them, while also supporting their creativity, confidence, and curiosity. I always try to create a positive, calm, and happy environment where they feel safe to express themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is making sure children feel safe, cared for, and emotionally secure. I believe children thrive best when they feel understood, respected, and supported. I take trust very seriously, and I always want parents to feel confident that their child is in a safe and nurturing environment.

I also believe in being patient, attentive, and present, and creating a positive influence in a child’s life while supporting their growth, happiness, and well-being.

Genesis N. - Seeking Work in San Francisco

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Francisco, CA: Genesis N.

Hi! I’m a CPR-certified mom to a 2-year-old daughter and I’m looking for a family that’s open to a nanny mom setup where my daughter can come with me. I genuinely enjoy being around kids and creating a calm, fun, home-like environment for them instead of just sitting inside all day.

I enjoy age-appropriate outdoor activities, parks, reading, learning through play, and engaging children in fun everyday activities, snack/lunch prep, and little adventure days. I also enjoy teaching younger kids simple things throughout the day like colors, shapes, counting, phonics, letters, and basic learning through play and everyday activities.

I’m naturally patient, nurturing, and very used to caring for toddlers full-time. I’d love to find a family that likes the idea of their child having companionship, outdoor experiences, learning, and a more warm and engaging environment throughout the day.
